„Existential problems, common to the whole mankind, have been
raised in this tragicomedy, which is usually called anti-theatre or
theatre of the absurd. Eternal fear of death, the meaning and absurdi
ty of human existence, violence, depression and struggle for human
rights are the general topics of this high quality performance, in the
production of the Small Drama Theatre from Bitola.”
Journal „Vest“
„In a certain period, this drama was regarded as one of the most
avant-garde dramas, or a drama of the absurd, and today it is our
reality and our everyday life. The message of the performance refers
to the mankind, i.e. whether it will survive or destroy itself”, said the
director Georgijevski before the premiere in London.
Jutarnje vesti
„The Small Drama Theatre from Bitola presented an incredible theatrical performance, based on the drama by Ionesco... The actors
played on the empty stage splendidly, simply and timelessly. It is not
surprising that the director of the performance, Ljupčo Georgijevski
did not get scared with the ambitious plan – the artists’ performing
is precise and exciting, and the moves of the imaginative heroine,
Joana Popovska and the dark wise man, Anastas Popdimitrov, are
natural and frank.
Having climbed on the stage of the Theatre „V.F. Komisarjevska”,
the spectators could not find their seats immediately. Their search for
an extra chair served as an effective overture to the performance.”
