In the drama by Ljubomir Simović, in which theatre and reality
intermingle, to produce, by chance, an act of life, the ensemble of
the Kraljevo Theatre, together with the guest artists, one of whom
is the director himself, presented a pleasant and exceptional artistic
evening. Exceptional, because the theatrical skill was combined with
video effects, which made this performance different from many
Sopalović’s seen so far.

Although these effects threatened at some moments to devour the
director’s and actors’ efforts, the story got into full swing and unifed
them, reaching catharsis successfully.

The drama about the destiny of a travelling theatre troupe in a war-
stricken town (Simović’s hometown Užice) is a dilemma about the
existence of difference between life and acting, the beginning and end
of these two phenomena.

...The scenography, costumes and music took us to some other times when, in extraordinary situations, people showed their real characters, and disguised in different costumes and masks, just as they do today.

Within the possibilities offered by the small Kraljevo Theatre, the
director Nebojša Dugalić, developed the on-act performance that
deserves full attention and long applause.
